Thanksgiving 2010

My heart is full and overflowing with thankfulness for all the Lord has done for me. I really enjoy celebrating holidays and Thanksgiving is one of my favorites. Psalms 92:1 says "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:" So although we set aside a specific day each year to celebrate, we should live our daily life with a thankful heart and attitude.

Since Thanksgiving is not a holiday in Estonia, Ron still had English lessons to teach. We made plans to celebrate on Friday and invited several other missionary families to join us. Although we had originally planned on 19 people, sickness and bad weather hindered some of our guests from making it. We were so pleased 9 people were able to make it. Our time together was wonderful - good food, fellowship, testimonies, and singing.

I am deeply grateful for the wonderful family God has given me. My husband is the BEST! What a blessing to have a godly husband/father to guide us. My children are AWESOME! If I only had my family, I would feel blessed beyond what I deserve. But, God has given me so much more....how could I NOT be thankful?
Psalms 100:4 Enter into his gates with thankgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
