Frugal Friday

Skype!
Skype is such a blessing to us and probably to many of you as well.  When two people call each other using Skype, the call is absolutely free!  It sure is a fun way to talk with family and even friends once in a while.  My kids love to visit with their grandparents and cousins and SEE them rather than just talk.
Skype is just awesome - especially since we don't have to feel guilty about spending a bunch of money to enjoy it.

Trivia:  Do you know  where Skype was invented (without using the internet)?

  2. We have been loving skype lately! We actually have even played games together (dominoes) via skype. What a great age to be a missionary!

    1. Yes, we live in a blessed time as missionaries with Skype and email rather than snail mail being our only way of communication.

  3. Ha! Love it! It is 4:30 am here and we JUST got off Skype with a supporting church (that we really LOVE dearly) for their VBS. Priceless to be able to feel like we are right there with them!

  4. We use it more and more now that kids are in the States. Great invention. Btw, was it invented in Estonia? My first guess was the Netherlands.

  6. Hi! It is so fun to find someone else in Europe. I found you through the Baptist Missionary Wives blog link. How fun! What a lovely family! I love your pictures. And yes, Skype is a huge blessing! Our kids are grown, and now each has a son, so the link with the grandsons is very, very special. And, sometimes it's funny, because they pixellate out and we get some hilarious conversations. . . . MUCH better than the olden days of a three-week wait to get a letter sent one-way. What a blessing to have today's technology!
