Since starting our school project back in February of this year, our plane (WinklAir) has been to 6 countries. My last update was in April when WinklAir landed in Ghana, West Africa (you can read about it here ).
From there it flew to Kenya, Africa to visit the Cormeir family. Jessi has a blog, Joy Unspeakable, telling about their ministry (to the deaf) and being a missionary wife in Africa.
A few weeks later, WinklAir arrived in Australia. The Bauer family has been on the field just a little less than 2 years. Jen writes about there ministry and adventures on her blog, Be Thou Exalted.
WinklAir also made a stop in Vanuatu. That was a new place to me and the kids and I had to find it on a map. Do you know where it is?
The next stop on the itinerary was Phnom Penh, Cambodia. That is where my brother, Stephen Benefield, is a missionary. My brother, his wife, and their six children have been serving the Lord in Phnom Penh since November of 2000. The Lord is using them and many people are being saved. My brother has a blog, The Missionary Memo, that is an encouragement and challenge to read.
Most recently, WinklAir was in Krasnoyarsk, Russia (Siberia). This is the city that we first went to as missionaries in 2003. We served there until God moved us to Estonia in 2008. We were thrilled that Krasnoyarsk was on our plane's itinerary! Just yesterday it left for its next stop - Okinawa, Japan.
After Japan our plane heads for the states. Then after 32 stops in the U.S.A., WinklAir will visit Canada and Greenland before returning to Estonia. We are enjoying getting postcards and pictures. Thanks again for participating!
