    1. Always a joy to have you stop by, Lou Ann.
My hubby didn't drink coffee until we were on the mission field. I've been tempted to try it again, but I'm sure I'd have to doctor it up quite a bit to enjoy it.
      Blessings to you, friend.

    1. Amazing, Jen. I thought I was the only lady in the world who doesn't like coffee. I found out through our blog hop that I'm not the only one.
I'm afraid I'll cry the day I get pulled over by a policeman.
Thanks for stopping by, my friend.

  3. I do not like coffee either! I do drink it when we are invited out and am handed a cup, but it is not something I enjoy. I have had a speeding ticket before and I did cry for several minutes, ha! ha!

    1. So, do you drink hot tea instead of coffee?
I'm sure I'll shed a few tears IF I ever get a speeding ticket.
Just yesterday as I was driving home, a unmarked car came zooming up behind me with blue lights flashing. I wondered what I could have done since I was not speeding. However, as I pulled to the right and slowed down, he flew right past me. Obviously he was after someone else. Yeah for me, sad for that person.

  4. Funny reading all these comments. I tasted my Dad's black coffee ONE time in my life, then tried my mom's doctored up coffee and decided forever after that that I can't stand the stuff!

    1. I haven't tasted any for a very long time. Not really interested. I'll just enjoy the smell of coffee and drink hot tea.

  6. Since we are on the coffee theme... I do drink coffee, but not until I lived in Mongolia. It was either that or black tea, which I really don't like. Been enjoying coffee ever since then.

    1. Black tea is good with some sugar added or with some dark chocolate.
      Enjoy your coffee! :)

  10. Can a day be complete without coffee??? My husband doesn't like it either, but I love it! I love crocheting, reading, and cross-stitching!

    1. Yes, a day can be complete without coffee....at least for me. My husband likes to have his cup each morning though.
Cross-stitching is fun but it requires more focus than crocheting.

How neat that your name "matches" your birth date. Thanks for sharing that interesting information.

  13. Hi Rachel. I'm a PW from Temple, GA. An interesting fact about myself is that not only am I a Pastor's Wife, but I'm a Preacher's Kid (PK), a Preacher's Sister (PS) and a Preacher's Mom (PM). I have to behave with all these preacher's around me.
Thanks for sharing about yourself and for your service to the Lord.

    1. Nice to meet you, Tabiatha.
I too am a preacher's kid. My dad started a church when I was 19 months old. He still pastors that same church! Guess what, I am a preacher's sister too.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come again.

  14. Dear Mrs. Winkler, (<- Is this right?)
I really enjoyed reading your blog, as I have reading the other baptist missionary women blogs.
You mentioned leaving an interesting or fun fact about myself. Well, here it is!
    1) I don't like coffee either. I much prefer tea.
    2) My favourite hobbies are coin collecting, reading, crocheting scarves, learning languages, singing...etc.
    3) I'm a PK living in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. (Just thought of something, I'm a PS (Preacher's Sister) too!) :)
Sorry, I'm only leaving three. Thanks for your blog, I really enjoyed reading it and I hope to continue reading it.

  15. Dear Mrs. Winkler,
One more thing, I was looking at your picture and I thought that you looked very familiar but I'm sure that I've never met you. Then...it hit me. You look just like Mrs. Shelly Hamilton! I don't know if there is any connection or if it's just an amazing coincidence but there is definitely a resemblance! Anyway, I just wanted to say this as it has been bothering me for awhile because I couldn't remember. Again, thanks for the blog!
